We’re not here to knock other guide service, there’s room for everyone. But, there are two kinds of snowmobile tour companies out there. You’ve got the big corporate outfits chasing volume in high-traffic zones… and then there’s folks like us.
We started this because we love it. Not for the paycheck, not for the numbers, but for the ride and the people we get to share it with.
Sled Wyo was built on a dream: to trade in the 9-to-5 for early mornings, deep powder, and the freedom of the backcountry. When you book a trip with us, you’re helping us live that dream. We’ll make sure you have one hell of a ride!

Ride right from the lodge at Elk View Inn or High Country Lodge. Our two lodging partners in the Bighorns.
The Bighorns truly are unique when it comes to mountain snowmobiling. Our terrain is incredibly different from many other mountain ranges with some of the driest snow in the world, which makes for some of the most epic powder known to man.
The Bighorns offer terrain for everyone. We have gnarly technical canyons, some of the grossest tree riding in the West, wind lips, cliff drops, easy going meadows, and crazy rock formations only found in the Bighorns.
The Bighorns are a massive, isolated mountain range conveniently located a days drive from the upper-Midwest. The “Horns” are 200 miles long, about 30 miles wide, and elevations vary from 5,000ft to 13,166ft. There is a science to riding the Bighorns correctly with the varying conditions, so hiring a guide makes your trip worth every penny.
Jeff Shanor - Co-Owner, Guide, Content Nerd
Jeff’s been riding sleds since before he could walk, literally! Jeff grew up riding the Bighorns and has been backcountry riding for 24 out of the 27 years he’s been alive. When he’s not sledding, he’s a filmmaker and photographer.

Anna Shanor - Guide, Bookkeeper Extraordinaire
Anna keeps us all in line here at Sled Wyo. She may not look it, but she’s the bad cop around these parts. If you break one of our rentals, lookout for Anna! On a real note, Anna is an incredible athlete on a sled and this all wouldn’t be possible without her. She is definitely the hardest worker when it comes to helping pull skis!
Sled of Choice: 2026 Ski-Doo Summit X 154” 850 turbo.
Aftermarket Mods: BSB Fab Front Bumper (for those damn trees that jump in front of her)
Jett Walker - Guide, Technician
What a sick name for a sledder, right? Jett keeps us on the snow. Another one we couldn’t do this without. Jett has progressed like crazy the last few seasons and has turned into quite the athlete. When he’s not guiding or wrenching, he’s operating heavy equipment in BFE Montana. Works all summer to sled all winter, a certified sled bum!
Sled of Choice: 2026 Ski-Doo Expert 154” turbo.

Jacob Joseph - Guide, Elk View Inn
Jacob is our newest addition to the Sled Wyo guide team! Jacob has been sledding in the Bighorns his entire life and is eager to get his official guide career started this winter! When Jacob isn’t riding, he’s helpin’ fix things up at Elk View!
