Latest Storm: 12/10/24
Previous Snow Depth: 12-28”
Current Snow Depth: 12-35”
Snow Quality: Bottomless, lots of landmines of still.
Avalanche Observations: No observations.
Backcountry Conditions Rating: There’s a few fun pockets if you know where to go. Lots of wind makes getting to those pockets and adventure. It’s not worth a significant drive yet, but we’re looking good so far! 12”-30” of snow depending on where you go.
Trail Conditions: N/A
Report Summary: We are off to a pretty normal start here in the Bighorns, but it feels epic compared to last year’s poor season!
Future Forecast: Two storm systems are on the way 12/15 and 12/20. Future is looking great! No big numbers yet, but they are always wrong about the Bighorns forecast usually.
